I am not an expert on rap music, however I worked with young people daily who educated me. I called it rap 101. I also learned from young people 20 years ago about young money and little Wayne. He is much smarter than he looks and cannot judge book by its cover. Little Wayne in my opinion is the biggest influence on the current culture. Rappers have broken english and slang that little Wayne did 20 years ago. most of youth culture samples Wayne his dreads, tattoos, piercings. I learned from youth that young money introduced drake. 20 years ago and little Wayne mentored drake to be clean cut sort of like will smith #1 male rapper. He introduced niki manaj who is richest female rapper and niki graduated from high school with 4.0 and had planned on being doctor. She has college degree. Wayne was nerd in school and smart. I think he is most influential rapper currently! Other rappers like jayz, tupac, Kanye and others were in the past.
